Decorating is something I have always thoroughly enjoyed about the holiday season and there is nothing I love more than creating an alluring table to set the scene. I enjoy the creative process of planning and composing a well styled table – from choosing the palette, to the trip to the florist, setting the menu, picking the linens and décor, creating place settings and centerpieces. For me, the table setting is just as important as the dishes that will be enjoyed upon it. I strive to create a beautiful space for my loved ones to gather round, bread break, share stories, and simply enjoy being together. Below are a few of my holiday tablescapes to inspire yours this season. Chic + MoodyI have always been drawn to deep tones and a rich color palette and that was the inspiration for this dark and moody table design. Beautiful luxe gray linens mixed with the black cutlery, black tableware, black candles and candlesticks with the smoky wine glasses create a sophisticated style statement. The gorgeous Black Forest calla lillies in vintage amber glass bottles compliment the peasant feathers, while the striking red pomegranates add to the drama. All the elements work together to create and stunningly elegant table. Winter CitrusWinter is citrus season and what better way to celebrate that then to add bright orange to your holiday table. The gray linens allow the vivid colors of the florals and fruits to to really pop. The pin cushion flowers and beautiful pinkish red tones of the proteas mix withed with eucalyptus create a stunning centerpiece. Oranges, pears, apples, chestnuts and foliage are strewn down the table. Place cards dip dyed a pale orange complete the look.
